Tommy Fury has refused to answer a question about his earnings during an Instagram live on his new BBC podcast. The former Love Island star was asked by a fan how much he gets paid for Instagram posts, to which he replied: 'Honestly, nosy people around. I'm blessed to be in the position that I am and that's all I got to say on that note.'
New Podcast with Father John Fury
The 27-year-old professional boxer and brother of ex-heavyweight champion Tyson Fury has launched a ten-episode video podcast for the BBC alongside his father John. Titled 'What the Fury', the show is available on BBC iPlayer, BBC Sport's YouTube channel, and BBC Sounds. New episodes drop on Tuesdays and Thursdays, with the duo discussing topics ranging from children and masculinity to AI, finances, housing, and romance.
Despite their familial bond, Tommy and John claim to view the world from entirely contrasting perspectives. Tommy, a Gen Z reality personality focused on fitness, wellness, and social media, clashes with his father John, a blunt-speaking, caravan-dwelling 60-year-old who believes modern technology has ruined everything.
First Episode Focuses on Gadgets
In the inaugural episode, the pair debate technology. Tommy shows his father a £4,000 Virtual Reality headset he was persuaded to buy. John tells him he has wasted his money and reveals his own preferred gadget: a pen knife. Tommy bursts into laughter, admitting he thought only 'like Rambo' owned pen knives.
During the episode, Tommy goes off-topic to conduct an impromptu Instagram live, asking followers for questions on anything. When a fan asked about his earnings from social media posts, he declined to answer, calling them 'nosy'.
Estimated Earnings
Tommy is thought to have earned millions from boxing bouts against YouTubers including KSI. According to The Tab, he could earn up to £39,000 per social media post through brand partnerships, though this is unconfirmed and an estimate.
