British Transport Police (BTP) have released CCTV images of a man they believe may have information about a sexual assault on a woman at Hanger Lane Underground station in west London. The alleged attack occurred around 2:30pm on Sunday, June 21, in a subway leading into the station.
Details of the Assault
According to investigators, a man approached the woman and repeatedly sexually assaulted her. Police stated that the suspect used force to prevent the victim from leaving before fleeing the scene, running into the station and laughing as he escaped.
Description of the Suspect
The man is described as being Indian or South Asian, in his mid to late 20s, approximately 5ft 7in tall. At the time of the incident, he was wearing a light blue shirt and sunglasses.
Police Appeal
BTP are urging anyone who recognises the man or has any information about the incident to come forward. Detective Constable Laura Zilincanova said: 'We are determined to find the man responsible for this horrific attack. We believe the man in these images may have vital information that could assist our investigation.'
