Sky's Lowest Ever Price: TV & 900Mbps Broadband for £35/mo

Sky has launched what it calls its lowest ever price on a TV and broadband bundle, offering the Essential TV plan with 900Mbps full-fibre broadband for just £35 per month. The deal is aimed at customers willing to switch from traditional satellite systems to streaming via the Sky Stream box.

What the Bundle Includes

The package provides access to over 100 channels, including Sky Atlantic, along with Netflix and discovery+. The broadband speed of 900Mbps is among the fastest available in the UK, capable of downloading a full HD movie in under 40 seconds, roughly 10 times faster than standard speeds.

However, the offer is only available to those who opt for the Sky Stream box, which relies on an internet connection rather than a satellite dish. Unlike Sky Q, the Stream box has no internal storage; recordings are saved to the cloud via Sky's Playlists feature.

Terms and Conditions

The deal requires a 24-month contract, and the monthly price will increase during the term. Customers should check whether 900Mbps speeds are available at their address, as Sky uses BT's Openreach infrastructure. The Essential plan includes a limited number of channels; upgrading to Sky Ultimate TV costs an additional £6 per month and adds Disney+, Hayu, and channels like Sky One, Sky Comedy, and Sky Witness.

Comparison with Rivals

According to Sky, this is their lowest ever price for such a bundle. For comparison, Virgin Media offers a TV and broadband plan with Netflix for £33.99 per month, but with 362Mbps speeds rather than 900Mbps. BT charges over £50 per month for 900Mbps broadband and TV with Netflix.
