Data from the pilot phase reveals a significant trend: over half of the visitors to the Jobcentre on Wheels service were not currently receiving any benefits, indicating that the initiative is reaching a diverse range of jobseekers beyond the traditional welfare system.

The launch of this mobile service is timely, as it coincides with a concerning rise in the national unemployment rate. Official statistics show that unemployment reached 5.1 per cent between September and November of last year, highlighting growing economic pressures.
