Hercules hikes guidance after 'year of progress'

Hercules, the AIM-listed labour supply firm headquartered in Gloucestershire, has told investors it expects to perform ahead of current market expectations for the financial year ending September 2026. The company, which supplies workers to major UK projects including HS2 and Sizewell C, announced on Wednesday (October 21) that group revenue would likely exceed £130m, up from earlier estimates of £127m.

Revenue growth driven by infrastructure investment

The firm said this figure represented growth of around 7.3 per cent compared with the previous year. The performance was driven by "capitalising on investment" across UK infrastructure markets, the company said. Its largest operating division continued to perform strongly during the financial year, with the number of customers increasing by 10 per cent compared with the previous year.

Hercules continued to supply operatives to the Birmingham section of the HS2 route to London, while also diversifying its supply operations into other infrastructure markets, including power, utilities and civil engineering, and building on its existing presence in the water sector.

Power and energy division performing well

The group’s power and energy division, formally established in August 2026 following the acquisition of Advantage NRG in the previous year, is also performing well, Hercules said. Its civil projects arm is expected to deliver a record year, with revenue increasing by around 25 per cent compared with a year earlier.

The board said on Wednesday it "remains positive" about the outlook for the new financial year, supported by a growing pipeline of opportunities, increased operational capabilities and continued investment across UK infrastructure markets.

CEO highlights strategic progress

"FY26 has been another year of significant progress for Hercules, and I am delighted that we expect to deliver a financial performance ahead of market expectations across our key measures," said Brusk Korkmaz, the company's chief executive. "This performance demonstrates the continued progress we are making in delivering our strategy. We have strengthened our position across the UK’s essential infrastructure markets, expanded our specialist capabilities and built deeper relationships with major customers."

"Importantly, we are seeing increasing collaboration across our businesses, enabling us to offer a broader range of services and pursue new opportunities," Korkmaz added.
