Manchester United's pursuit of a new midfielder has suffered a blow after Eduardo Camavinga decided to stay at Real Madrid. The club has already signed Andrey Santos and Youri Tielemans this summer but is reportedly keen to add more depth before the transfer window closes.

Adam Wharton
Crystal Palace midfielder Adam Wharton has been linked with a move, though no formal bid has materialised. With the new season just over a week away, he remains at Selhurst Park. Wharton would be a strong addition if a deal could be agreed.
Sander Berge and Carlos Baleba
United were earlier told that Fulham's Sander Berge could develop into a 'mini Rodri'. The Norwegian has significant Premier League experience and is under contract until June 2029, which could command a hefty fee. Brighton's Carlos Baleba, valued at around £70m, is another option, having been previously pursued by United.
Alex Scott and Tyler Adams
Bournemouth's Alex Scott, 22, is reportedly priced at £80m after a standout season. Tyler Adams, 27, is also linked, having recovered from injury and helped Bournemouth qualify for Europe. Both could bolster United's midfield, but whether a move materialises remains to be seen.
