Lego has unveiled its first-ever SpongeBob SquarePants set aimed at adult fans, priced at £189.99. The set, named SpongeBob SquarePants: Bikini Bottom, features 1,794 pieces and recreates iconic locations from the show, including SpongeBob's pineapple home, Squidward's Moai-shaped house, Patrick's rock, and Jellyfish Fields.
Set Details and Features
The Bikini Bottom set (item #11386) includes detailed interiors for each building. SpongeBob's pineapple contains a TV and bed, while Squidward's house features a bathroom, clarinet practice area, and a rooftop with a removable sun lounger. Patrick's rock lifts up to reveal its interior. The set also includes the boatmobile, the Bikini Bottom sign, and the Bubblestand from the show's first season.
Minifigures include SpongeBob, Patrick Star, and Squidward, plus brick-built versions of Gary the snail and DoodleBob. Notable absent characters like Mr. Krabs, Plankton, and Sandy Cheeks suggest potential future sets.
Pricing and Release
The set costs £189.99 and releases on September 1, 2026, with pre-orders available now on the Lego website. SpongeBob's house stands 24 cm high, and the display arrangement can vary. A cheaper alternative, the SpongeBob SquarePants BrickHeadz, will also launch on the same day for £10.99.
Background
This marks the first adult-oriented SpongeBob Lego set, following earlier lines from the mid-2000s. The new set improves on those with better accuracy, building techniques, and hidden references to classic episodes. SpongeBob SquarePants turns 27 this month, appealing to nostalgic adult fans.
