Summer Robert, a 28-year-old from Glasgow, has alleged that she was removed from Disneyland in California due to her large breasts, which are the result of a rare medical condition called Macromastia. Robert, who wears an R-cup bra, says a staff member confronted her and insisted she leave the park because her outfit was deemed inappropriate.
Robert, who has over 200,000 Instagram followers, described the incident as heartbreaking. She stated that she was dressed in a skirt and long-sleeved top, which she considered appropriate for the warm weather. However, a male employee informed her that a complaint had been made about her clothing. When she questioned what was wrong, he reportedly shrugged and said he was trying not to look.
Shortly after, an older female employee approached Robert and began shouting, telling her to cover up or leave. Robert explained that she did not have a sweatshirt, as it was 30°C, but the employee insisted she buy one from the Disney store or exit the park. Robert and her friend decided to leave, but the employee allegedly followed them into a shop outside the park and demanded they leave unless they were buying something to cover up.
Robert argued that her outfit was no different from others wearing sports bras and leggings, and that the only difference was her breast size. She said the employee then changed her complaint to focus on her skirt, which had shorts underneath. Robert felt humiliated and cried on the way home, having spent only four hours at the park before the incident.
Robert has previously visited Disney parks in Orlando and Paris without any issues, wearing similar attire. She said the experience left her feeling disgusting and embarrassed, and she hopes to raise awareness about the challenges faced by those with Macromastia.
