PepsiCo has recalled the Walkers Variety Snacks Sharing Box because a Monster Munch Giants Roast Beef 85g pack inside contains wheat (gluten), which is not declared on the outer packaging. The Food Standards Agency (FSA) has warned that the product may pose a health risk to anyone with an allergy or intolerance to wheat or gluten, or with coeliac disease.
Product details and reason for recall
The affected item is the Walkers Variety Snacks Sharing Box, sold at £10, with a pack size of 655g (6 packs). The batch code is 107543, and the best before date is November 21, 2026. PepsiCo confirmed that the outer box does not carry the correct ingredients or allergy information for the Monster Munch Giants Roast Beef 85g, while the individual bags inside are correctly labelled.
Official advice and refund process
The FSA stated: "This product contains gluten making it a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy or intolerance to wheat or gluten, or with coeliac disease." PepsiCo has been instructed to contact allergy support organisations so they can inform their members about the recall, and the company has issued a point-of-sale notice to customers.
The FSA advised: "If you have bought the above product and have an allergy or intolerance to wheat or gluten or have coeliac disease, do not eat it. Instead, please call the PepsiCo Consumer Care Line on 0800274777 or visit contact.pepsico.com/walkers to receive a full refund."
The company did not specify where the snacks were sold, but the item appeared on Iceland's website for £10, where a notice now says the snack box is 'currently unavailable'.
