The Food Standards Agency (FSA) has issued an urgent recall for three varieties of Dubai-style chocolate bars due to undeclared peanuts, almonds, cashews, and walnuts, posing a potential health risk to allergy sufferers.
The affected products are Noesis Shokolade Love of Dubai, Fix it Dubai Kunafa Chocolate, and Le Damas Dubai Chocolate Kunafa and Pistachio, all distributed by Black Sea Trading Ltd, which the FSA says has been uncontactable.
The FSA has urged businesses to immediately stop sales, withdraw products, and initiate recalls where necessary. Consumers with allergies to peanuts or other nuts are advised not to eat the products and to dispose of them at home.
Dubai-style chocolate, popularised on TikTok, typically contains pistachio cream and knafeh. Around one million people in the UK are allergic to peanuts, a common cause of severe food allergy.
Those who have purchased the products are asked to contact local Trading Standards in Great Britain or Environmental Health Officers in Northern Ireland to report where they were bought.
