A UK lottery player has come forward to claim the £181 million EuroMillions jackpot, a win that places them third on the National Lottery rich list and gives them a fortune comparable to music superstar Adele.
The winning ticket matched all five main numbers and two Lucky Stars in the draw on Tuesday, March 10, securing the £181,073,415.70 prize. Operator Allwyn confirmed that the ticket-holder has since made contact to claim their winnings.
Andy Carter, senior winners’ adviser at Allwyn, said: “This is an incredible win for one lucky ticket-holder. They have immediately leaped into third place in the National Lottery rich list and have a fortune to rival Adele.”
Carter added: “This jackpot will no doubt change their life, and the lives of the family and friends around them and even make a difference across entire communities. The team of winners’ advisers here at Allwyn are now on hand to guide the ticket-holder through the claim and then to provide the support they need as they embark on their new life.”
The winner’s identity has not been disclosed, but they join an elite group of National Lottery jackpot winners. The prize is one of the largest ever paid out in the UK.
