The largest UK jackpot on record is up for grabs in Tuesday's Euromillions draw, after no-one matched all numbers on Friday. The estimated £167m top prize could make one lucky ticketholder the biggest lottery winner in British and European history.
The current UK record stands at £161m, won by Colin and Christine Weir from Largs, North Ayrshire, six years ago. If a single ticket claims tonight's prize, they would surpass that amount.
The winning numbers for Friday's £157m draw were 7, 18, 19, 32, 48, with Lucky Stars 3 and 7. Since Euromillions began in 2004, 91 UK ticketholders have won the jackpot or a share of it, placing Britain second behind France.
Andy Carter of the National Lottery said: 'At an estimated £167m, Tuesday's Euromillions jackpot will be the biggest ever offered to National Lottery players in the UK. A single UK winner would be the biggest this country and Europe has ever seen.'
Other participating countries include Spain, Austria, Belgium, the Irish Republic, Luxembourg, Portugal, and Switzerland. The Weirs, who won in 2011, have used their fortune for political and charitable causes, donating over £4.5m to the Scottish National Party and £3.5m to the Yes Scotland campaign.
