A Royal Mail postman has been praised for his creative method of delivering a parcel when the recipient was not at home. Instead of leaving a failed delivery note, he enlisted the help of a passing window cleaner to deposit the package through an open upstairs window.
The incident was captured on a home security camera belonging to Stacey Curran, who shared the footage on TikTok. The video shows the postman at the front door, then speaking with a window cleaner who fetches his ladders and climbs up to deposit the parcel through a top-floor window. The postman is seen photographing the delivery, both men clearly amused by the arrangement.
Ms Curran said she was initially baffled by a delivery note that read 'Through the bedroom window'. Social media users found the video hilarious, with comments such as 'I just know these two were dead chuffed with themselves'. The official Royal Mail TikTok account joked: 'He was READY'.
A Royal Mail spokesperson commented: 'Our posties always aim to make sure customers receive their deliveries, and we're proud of the effort they put in every day. This was certainly a unique method, but we're pleased the customer received their item.'
