A delighted Pizza Hut customer has taken to social media to share his enthusiasm after securing what he describes as a 'cracking' meal deal for just under £5. Posting on Reddit, the user displayed his purchase, which included a pepperoni and beef pizza, a Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream Sandwich, and a 500ml bottle of Pepsi Max.
How to Get the Deal
The customer explained that the deal, priced at £4.99, is only available during lunchtime hours and does not appear on Pizza Hut's main website menu. He clarified that it may be exclusive to Pizza Hut delivery locations, similar to Domino's, and only shows up on the page between 12pm and 4pm. Another Reddit user added that the deal can be found under the 'Lunch' heading in the app, though not all outlets participate.
Reactions from Reddit Users
Other Reddit users were quick to praise the offer. One called it 'the best value meal deal available,' while another asked, 'Absolute bargain, need to see if the pizza hut near me does it.' A third user commented, '10/10 I love pizza and I've been hunting that snack for ages (found it last week)!' However, one user noted that only potato wedges or cheesy garlic bread were offered as sides, not ice cream.
Pizza Hut's Recent Challenges
Late last year, Pizza Hut announced the closure of 68 UK restaurants and 11 delivery sites, resulting in 1,210 job losses. However, Yum!, the global owner of Pizza Hut, stepped in to save 64 locations and 1,277 jobs through a pre-pack administration. A spokesperson stated, 'We are pleased to secure the continuation of 64 sites to safeguard our guest experience and protect the associated jobs. Approximately 1,277 team members will transfer to the new Yum! equity business under UK TUPE legislation.'
