Nationwide has reminded customers that its FlexStudent account offer, which includes £100 cashback and £120 in vouchers, will end at 11.59pm on Thursday, October 22. The building society announced the promotion on Thursday, October 15, and says the account "has quickly become a popular choice among freshers across the UK."
What the FlexStudent account includes
The account offers an interest and fee-free arranged overdraft of up to £1,000 in the first year, £2,000 in the second year, and £3,000 in the third year. To qualify for these overdraft extensions, students must deposit a minimum of £500 each term or have transferred at least £1,500 across two or more transactions during the previous year.
The FlexStudent account also provides commission-free spending and cash withdrawals when abroad. To secure the cash reward and vouchers, students need to open a new FlexStudent account before the cut-off date, deposit at least £500, and complete five debit card transactions by December 11, 2026.
How to claim the bonuses
Customers who meet these requirements will receive £100 within 14 days. Successful account holders will also get a registration code enabling them to claim a £10 Just Eat voucher code monthly throughout the initial 12 months, totalling £120 in vouchers.
Holders of a FlexStudent account will gain exclusive entry to FlexGraduate, a post-university current account featuring an interest-free, fee-free arranged overdraft designed to support students as they transition after university, giving them breathing space to clear their overdraft following course completion.
