Nationwide has issued a deadline warning for customers who want to claim up to £220 in free bonuses. The building society announced on Thursday, October 15, that eligible members could receive £100 cashback along with £120 worth of vouchers. The offer will expire at 11.59pm on Thursday, October 22.
FlexStudent account details
The incentives are available through its FlexStudent current account, designed for first-year university students. According to Nationwide, the account "has quickly become a popular choice among freshers across the UK."
The account features an interest and fee-free arranged overdraft of up to £1,000 in the first year, £2,000 in the second year, and £3,000 in the third year. To qualify for the overdraft increases, students must pay in at least £500 per term or have deposited at least £1,500 across two or more payments during the previous year.
How to secure the bonus
The FlexStudent account also offers commission-free purchases and cash withdrawals overseas. To secure the cash bonus and vouchers, students must open a new FlexStudent account before the deadline, pay in £500, and complete five debit card transactions by December 11, 2026.
Those who satisfy these requirements will receive £100 within 14 days. Qualifying account holders will also be sent a registration code enabling them to claim a £10 Just Eat voucher code monthly for the first 12 months, totalling £120 in vouchers.
Graduate account access
Holders of a FlexStudent account will enjoy exclusive access to FlexGraduate, a post-university current account featuring an interest-free, fee-free arranged overdraft. This account is designed to help graduates get settled after leaving university, giving them the breathing space needed to clear their overdraft once their studies have concluded.
Fred Powell, Head of Product at Nationwide Building Society, said: "The FlexStudent offer has proved hugely popular with students this year. With the incentives ending soon, we're reminding anyone who wants to benefit from the offer to apply before the deadline."
