Fans of McDonald's Chicken Selects could get more for their money with a simple trick shared by a bargain hunter. Instead of ordering the standard three-piece box for £5.49, customers can buy two 'wrap of the day' items and customise them to contain only the chicken pieces.
The hack, revealed by Jordon Cox, known as Britain's Coupon King, involves ordering two wraps at £2.49 each. When prompted, remove all other ingredients, including the wrap, lettuce and sauce. Each wrap contains two Chicken Selects, so the order yields four pieces for a total of £4.98 – an extra piece and a saving of 51p.
For those wanting fewer pieces, buying just one wrap and following the same steps gives two Chicken Selects for roughly half the price of the standard three-piece box. Cox emphasised that the chicken used in the wraps is identical to that in the Chicken Selects.
The money-saving tip comes as McDonald's prepares to launch new menu items in the UK, including breakfast options with Frank's RedHot Ketchup, returning favourites like the Big Tasty, and desserts such as Biscoff and Galaxy Chocolate McFlurries.
