Martin Lewis has issued an urgent warning for Easyjet customers — and it is actually great news. The Money Saving Expert founder took to Instagram and TikTok to announce that tomorrow, 28 July 2028, is an easyJet flight release day.
Lewis explained Easyjet uses 'dynamic pricing', meaning prices depend on demand. 'So the most predictable time to get cheap flights is exactly the moment it releases the flights because there’s minimum demand at that time because they weren’t available beforehand.'
How to get the cheapest prices
He noted that sooner you buy newly released tickets, the cheaper they will be, as fewer people have bought them. Easyjet is releasing nearly 14 million seats across 78,000 flights for summer 2027.
The catch: Easyjet is not revealing the exact release time. Lewis said: 'I don’t know, Easyjet won’t say. Past experience: sometimes it’s six o’clock tomorrow morning, sometimes it’s five o’clock, sometimes it’s spread throughout the morning.'
Example of savings
Lewis cited a follower who got flights to Spain for four people (with luggage) for £740 on a previous release day. Within hours, the same tickets jumped to £950. He added: 'The release price isn’t guaranteed the cheapest, but it’s usually the cheapest predictable time that you can buy.'
Customers are advised to set early alarms and know their desired flights in advance to maximise savings.
