Arta, a Mediterranean bar and tapas restaurant in Glasgow's Merchant City, is offering a £55 Signature Cocktails Masterclass that includes a three-course meal. The experience is ideal for birthdays, hen dos, or a fun day out with friends.
What the Masterclass Includes
Upon arrival, guests are greeted with a glass of cava before being taken behind the bar by a staff member to learn how to make classic cocktails. Options include Raspberry Mojito, French Martini, Pina Colada, and Strawberry Daiquiri. During a recent visit, the group chose to make Cosmopolitans and Passionfruit Martinis.
With 10 participants, the group was split into two for a more personalized experience. All ingredients and equipment are provided, and the bartender explains how each ingredient affects the drink, offering tips for adjusting sweetness or sourness.
The Three-Course Meal
After the cocktail-making session, guests are taken upstairs for a three-course meal. The August set menu includes vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options. Starters include Ayrshire chicken liver parfait, tomato and garlic bruschetta, and picked ham. One reviewer chose the sweet potato veloute, which was light and flavorful.
Main course options include serrano wrapped chicken supreme, seabass fillet, lamb shoulder, or paella de verduras. The chicken supreme came with roasted cherry tomatoes and baby potatoes, though it was noted that the chicken became slightly dry despite the sauce. Desserts include chocolate and orange tart, eton mess, and brulee creme catalana.
