easyJet has confirmed that some customers can get money off their bookings thanks to its '24-hour rule' Best Price Guarantee. The policy allows passengers to receive a discount if they find the same holiday at a lower price within 24 hours of booking.
How the Best Price Guarantee Works
The travel company shared details about the policy in a recent social media post on X. A customer named Amy asked about price variations before finalising a booking, and the airline's social media team responded. Team member Dan wrote: "Hello Amy, thanks for getting in touch. If you find the same holiday for less within 24 hours of booking with us, we'll beat it. Plus, we'll give £5 additional discount per person (excluding infants/free children)."
On its website, easyJet explains: "At easyJet holidays, we're so confident in our great value holidays that if you find the same holiday cheaper elsewhere within 24 hours of booking, we'll beat it. We'll apply a discount to the price of your easyJet holidays booking to cover the difference, plus we'll give you an additional £5 per person discount, excluding infants and free children – meaning you can book with confidence that you'll always get the best value with us."
Claiming the Discount
Customers who believe they have found the same holiday cheaper elsewhere must send the details to easyJet via a specific page on its website. The company states: "Once you've booked, if you think you've found the same holiday, including all the extras such as 23kg luggage on beach holidays, cheaper elsewhere that meets the criteria, send us the details on this page and we'll be in touch."
Dynamic Pricing and Savings Tips
easyJet uses dynamic pricing for tickets, noting that prices typically start low and increase as fewer seats become available. The airline uses algorithms that analyse historical data and current booking trends to set optimum prices. This efficiency helps keep costs low, with over a third of easyJet's flights on sale for less than £50.
For passengers seeking the lowest fares, easyJet advises booking early and being flexible. The company explains: "Because pricing is demand-led, fares usually start low and rise as the plane fills up. Booking well in advance often secures a better rate than booking last minute."
