Aldi has introduced a 'stylish' new garden chair that closely resembles a more expensive alternative from B&Q. The supermarket, known for its budget-friendly homeware and accessories, is adding the Garden Design String Chair to its SpecialBuy lineup.
Aldi's Affordable Alternative
Launching on May 21, the £24.99 Garden Design String Chair is being compared to B&Q's Beliani Garden Chair Rattan Blue, priced at £114.99. Both chairs feature a similar string design in a summer-ready blue shade, but Aldi's version is significantly cheaper. While some shoppers may prefer the pricier option, Aldi's chair is expected to appeal to those on a budget.
Aldi describes its chair as 'stylish' and 'stackable', with dimensions of 74cm x 70cm x 96cm when set up. The oval-shaped chair can support up to 120kg and comes with a three-year warranty. It is available in blue or orange and will be sold in stores starting May 21.
B&Q's Premium Option
B&Q offers the Beliani chair as an 'eye-catching' and 'contemporary' piece, featuring precise string weaving made of PE rattan and a powder-coated steel base for stability. It is available in blue or green and can be purchased online for home delivery, but is not sold in stores.
Other Alternatives
Dunelm also provides a budget-friendly option with its £49 Riviera Garden Chair, which has a stackable design and a multi-colour weave in blue and white. Made from resilient steel, it is easy to clean and offers both charm and durability.
