A TikTok food reviewer has discovered a fish and chips meal deal in Liverpool for just £5, leaving him and his followers astonished at the bargain price.
Jerome Griffin, who runs the account @thescouseghettogourmet, visited Heritage Fish and Chips on Great Howard Street and was delighted to find a daily specials board offering a variety of meals for a fiver.
He opted for the fish and chips deal, which also included peas and a can, making it a filling meal. He added a sausage on the side and sampled two types of curry sauce: Chinese and Irish fruity, declaring the latter "lovely".
Quality and Value
Jerome praised the crispy batter and flaky, moist fish, saying he was "so happy right now" with his meal. He admitted he "genuinely didn't think deals like this still existed" and even had enough money left for a barm to load with fish and curry sauce.
He also noted the chippy had a top food hygiene rating of five and plenty of seating for diners.

Commenters on his video were equally impressed. One wrote: "My son and I came here a couple of weeks ago, they were absolutely lovely! They gave him a sausage while he was waiting for free, so to an autistic child this is everything. It was gorgeous."
