£444M Powerball Jackpot Unclaimed, Rolls to £467M

No ticket matched all six numbers in Saturday night's Powerball draw, meaning the £444 million jackpot rolls over to an estimated £467 million for the next draw on Tuesday.

The winning numbers drawn on Saturday 8 August were 5, 9, 35, 54 and 63, with the Powerball number 7. The draw had rolled over from Thursday 6 August.

How to play and odds

UK players can enter Powerball for £4 per line, choosing five main numbers from 1 to 69 and one Powerball from 1 to 26, or opting for a Lucky Dip. Draws take place every Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday.

Tickets must be purchased by 11:55pm the night before a draw. For Tuesday's draw, entries close at 11:55pm on Monday 10 August.

Chances of winning

The odds of winning the Powerball jackpot are around one in 292.2 million. For comparison, the odds of winning the EuroMillions jackpot are about one in 139.8 million, making a player more than twice as likely to win EuroMillions.

Powerball confirmed that its recent expansion to the UK did not change the game's odds or drawing process.

30-year payment structure

Winners of the Powerball jackpot do not receive the full advertised sum at once. The prize is paid out over 30 years, providing regular payments that can aid long-term financial planning.

The final amount is determined after the winning claim is validated and Allwyn receives the prize funds from the US, using applicable exchange rates. The jackpot may be subject to taxes in certain circumstances.

Andy Carter, Senior Winner's Advisor at Allwyn, said: "This kind of win isn't just life-changing, it's potentially generation-changing. It could help a winner support their family for decades, fulfil lifelong ambitions, champion causes they care about and leave a lasting mark on their community."
