Paris Saint-Germain have informed Arsenal and Liverpool that winger Bradley Barcola is not for sale, despite the player's dissatisfaction over playing time, according to The Athletic. Barcola, 23, scored 13 goals last season and helped PSG win Ligue 1 and the Champions League, but he was an unused substitute in the final against Arsenal.
Barcola's contract situation and World Cup involvement
Barcola's contract with PSG runs until 2028, and he is currently representing France at the World Cup. Reports suggest he is reluctant to extend his deal, fueling speculation about a summer move. Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is a known admirer of the winger and wants to strengthen his left-wing options. Liverpool, under new boss Andoni Iraola, have also identified Barcola as a target following Mohamed Salah's departure.
PSG's valuation and other departures
PSG value Barcola at more than the £116 million Manchester City paid for Elliot Anderson, according to the report. The Parisians have already sold Goncalo Ramos to AC Milan for €74 million (£63.7m) and plan to cash in on Lee Kang-in and Randal Kolo Muani this summer. Despite Barcola's grievances, PSG remain firm on keeping him.
Arsenal's alternative targets
Arsenal have other attacking targets, with Aston Villa's Morgan Rogers their primary focus. Rogers is reportedly 'open' to a move to the Emirates, but Villa demand a £130 million fee. The Gunners have also explored a move for Club Brugge winger Christos Tzolis, valued at €40 million (£34.5m), who scored 22 goals and registered 29 assists last season.
Liverpool's other options
Liverpool are keen on RB Leipzig winger Yan Diomande but face competition from PSG. The Reds have already signed Victor Munoz from Osasuna but seek further reinforcements in wide areas this summer.
