Nelson Peltz Breaks Silence on Beckham Feud, Hopes for 'Long, Happy Marriage'

Billionaire businessman Nelson Peltz has spoken publicly for the first time about the escalating feud between his daughter Nicola Peltz Beckham and her husband Brooklyn's parents, Sir David and Lady Victoria Beckham. The 83-year-old father-of-ten addressed the family drama at a WSJ Invest Live event on Tuesday, February 3, where he was asked about navigating high-stakes situations in public view.

Quipping that he 'hadn't noticed' his family being in the press lately, Peltz added: 'My advice is to stay the hell out of the press. How much good did that do?' He declined to discuss the specifics of the Beckham rift, but said of his daughter and son-in-law: 'My daughter's great, my son-law Brooklyn is great, and I look forward to them having a long, happy marriage together.'

When asked if he had given the couple advice, Peltz replied: 'I do. Sometimes they give me advice.' The comments come after Brooklyn posted a lengthy statement on Instagram last month accusing his parents of trying to 'ruin his relationship' with Nicola. He claimed his mother Victoria had hijacked his first dance at his wedding, dancing 'inappropriately' on him, and said he had been 'controlled by my parents for most of my life'.

Brooklyn wrote that since stepping away from his family, his anxiety had disappeared, and that he and Nicola wanted 'peace, privacy and happiness' for themselves and their future family. The Beckhams have not publicly responded to the allegations.
