The National Lottery Lotto draw on Saturday, July 4, 2024, offers a hefty jackpot of £3.9 million, with every player receiving two chances to win per ticket. As of last month, each Lotto draw comprises two separate rounds, with all players automatically entered into both draws with one ticket.
How the New Lotto Game Works
In the revamped Lotto game, players purchase their £2 ticket as before. In the first round, a set of 59 balls enters the draw machine. Six balls are drawn plus the Bonus Ball. Matching two or more numbers from your Lotto line wins cash. Then, a second set of 59 balls enters a separate draw machine, with six balls plus the Bonus Ball drawn, applying the same rule: matching two or more numbers wins cash.
Matching six numbers in either draw wins a share of the £2 million jackpot. Matching five numbers plus a bonus ball wins £1 million, and matching five main numbers awards £1,000.
Draw Schedule and Updates
The two Lotto draws are scheduled for 8pm, followed by the Thunderball draw at 8:15pm. This is a live blog; updates will be shared below.
