Three lanes are closed on the M6 southbound between junctions 10 and 9 near Walsall after a lorry burst into flames, causing severe rush hour delays.
Emergency services at the scene
National Highways issued a warning to drivers in a post on X, stating that emergency services have rushed to the scene. Motorway camera footage shows traffic at a virtual standstill, with vehicles bumper-to-bumper.
Delays and traffic build-up
Drivers have been warned there is five miles of traffic on approach to the incident, with 30-minute delays above normal journey times.
