Scotland's biggest music festival, TRNSMT, returns to Glasgow Green on Friday, June 19, the same evening the national team plays its second World Cup match against Morocco. Festival organizers have arranged for the game to be shown on site, creating the country's largest fan zone.
Match Screening Details
The Scotland vs. Morocco match will be broadcast on three screens at Glasgow Green after headliner Richard Ashcroft concludes his set at 22:15. The main stage's 15x8 meter LED wall and two side stage 8x10 meter screens will show the game, with commentary played through the festival's speakers at a lower volume than the bands.
Why This Match Matters
Scotland's 1-0 victory over Haiti on Saturday puts them in a strong position. Another win could see them qualify for the knockout stages for the first time in World Cup history, promising an electric atmosphere.
Fan Zone Experience
TRNSMT boss Geoff Ellis has created an ultimate fan zone, turning the festival into Tartan Army headquarters. With a daily capacity of 50,000, more fans will be in the park than at Boston Stadium. Pre-match entertainment includes presenters and Cammy Barnes leading a rendition of Flower of Scotland.
Food and Drink
Over 40 food stalls offering cuisines like pizza, Chinese, Indian, and Mexican will operate throughout the day. Bars and food vendors will remain open until just after half-time at 23:45, ensuring fans can enjoy refreshments during the match.
