One of Scotland's biggest music festivals is set to return to Glasgow Green once again. With thousands of revellers expected to descend on the city in the coming days, it is important to know what you can and cannot bring to the event.
TRNSMT 2026 Dates and Line-Up
TRNSMT is taking place at a slightly earlier date this year, with the three-day event spanning from Friday, June 19, to Sunday, June 21. The line-up includes stars such as Richard Ashcroft, Wolf Alice, Kasabian, The Snuts, Lewis Capaldi, Amy Macdonald, and Jacob Alon. Festival-goers can find start times for their favourite acts on the TRNSMT app to plan their day.
What Items Can You Bring Into TRNSMT?
Festival-goers are allowed to bring a bag smaller than an A4 piece of paper. Larger bags are only permitted for medical or accessibility reasons, but you must fill out an Accessible Facilities Form on the TRNSMT website. TRNSMT is a cashless festival, so bring a bank card or contactless device for payments at food stalls, vendors, and the funfair.
You can bring an empty soft collapsible water bottle or pouch of 500ml or smaller, which can be refilled at free water points throughout the festival. Medicine must be clearly labelled in the original box or container and only enough for one day. If you need to use a syringe for medication, dispose of it safely at a first aid point.
Other allowed items include small travel-size sunscreen, portable chargers, lip balm, makeup, small cameras, sunglasses, wipes, ear plugs, and hand sanitiser.
What Items Are Banned From TRNSMT?
TRNSMT enforces a firm disposable vape ban, implemented in 2024. Refillable pod kits and nicotine pouches are permitted, but smoking is only allowed outdoors and banned in enclosed areas. Other prohibited items include:
- Domestic football tops or tops displaying club logos.
- Flares, gas or smoke devices, fireworks, sparklers, party poppers, confetti cannons, Chinese/sky lanterns, firewood, candles, or any flames.
- Professional camera/video/audio equipment including removable lenses, drones, portable laser equipment, laser pens, air horns, megaphones, and sound systems.
- Vuvuzelas, kites, frisbees, and boomerangs.
- Spray paint cans and aerosols of any size.
- All glass (including perfume bottles).
