Take That's The Circus tour is coming to Cardiff's Principality Stadium on June 16, 2026. Gary Barlow, Mark Owen, and Howard Donald will perform a two-hour extravaganza featuring trapeze artists, tight-rope walkers, and the iconic 30ft animatronic elephant that walks through the crowd during 'The Garden'.
Key Timings and Support Acts
City centre road closures begin at 3pm. Stadium gates open at 5pm. Special guests include Belinda Carlisle and The Script. Take That are expected on stage from 8.30pm for a two-hour set.

Special Guest
Former Pop Idol star Zoe Birkett joins the band on stage each night to sing the Lulu part of 'Relight My Fire'. She confirmed on Facebook: 'I don't just sing it... Face and voice of the biggest puppet this summer.'
Food and Drink
Exclusive Circus Burger available at selected outlets. Designated drivers get £1 off soft drinks. Food trucks serve steak from Fire and Flank, tacos, burritos, Greek street food, burgers, coffee, and cocktails. The Pitch Side Bar is open before the show.
Bag Policy
Small bags only (max 35cm x 40cm x 19cm). No large bags or bag storage. Banned items include fireworks, flares, pyrotechnics, horns, air horns, musical instruments, smoke canisters, laser pointers, bottles, glasses, cans, cooking devices, banners, poles, large umbrellas, selfie sticks, knives, blades, promotional materials, animals (except service dogs), and recording equipment.
Road Closures
From 7am: Scott Road and Park Street closed. Full city centre closure from 3pm to midnight: Kingsway, Cowbridge Road East, Tudor Street (access for residents/traders via Fitzhammon Embankment), Plantagenet Street, Beauchamp Street. Entire closures: Duke Street, Castle St, High Street, St Mary Street, Caroline Street, Wood Street, Central Square, Westgate Street, Quay Street, Guildhall Place, Golate, Park Street, Havelock Street, Scott Road. Station Terrace and Guildford Street bus-only. Penarth Road closed 30 mins before end and for 1 hour after. Station Terrace closed for 1.5 hours after event. Civic Centre roads controlled: King Edward VII Avenue, Museum Avenue, City Hall Road, College Road, Gorsedd Gardens Road.
Train Travel
Great Western Railway (GWR) runs extra services to Swansea, Newport, Bristol, Swindon. Queuing system in place. Transport for Wales (TfW) adds capacity on Valleys and Vale of Glamorgan routes. Queuing from 9.45pm at Cardiff Central and Queen Street. Pre-event revenue checks. Pay as you go available on TfW and Cross-Country (not GWR).
Park and Ride
Cardiff City Stadium, Leckwith (CF11 8AZ), accessed from M4 J33 via A4232. £15 per car. Opens 10am, first bus 10.30am, last bus from Fitzhammon Embankment at midnight.
Civic Centre Event Day Parking
From M4 J32, south on A470. £20 cars, £30 coaches. Opens 8am, closes midnight.
Sophia Gardens Parking
0.5 mile walk to stadium. From M4 J32. £20 cars, £30 coaches. Opens 8am, closes midnight. Vehicles left at owner's risk; fines for late collection.
Bus Services
Local buses diverted. Check Stagecoach, Cardiff Bus, NAT Group for details. National Express coaches use Sophia Gardens.
Cycling and Walking
Cycleways remain open. 52% of car trips in Cardiff are under 5km, easily cycled in 20 minutes.
Shopping Parking
City centre car parks: North Road, St David's, John Lewis, Capitol, NCP (Adam Street, Dumfries Place, Greyfriars Road).
Disabled Parking
Sophia Gardens recommended. Also available at private car parks.
