A Ryanair flight turned chaotic when passengers clashed over seating arrangements, leading to a full-blown mid-air brawl. The incident occurred on a flight bound for a popular Spanish holiday destination, with cabin crew forced to step in to restore order.
Eyewitnesses reported that tensions flared after one passenger allegedly refused to move seats, sparking a heated argument that quickly escalated into physical violence. The altercation caused panic among other travellers, with some filming the incident on their phones.
Ryanair confirmed that the flight continued to its destination after the crew successfully de-escalated the situation. "We will not tolerate disruptive behaviour," a spokesperson said, adding that such incidents are rare but taken very seriously.
This isn't the first time Ryanair has dealt with in-flight disturbances. The budget airline has seen several similar incidents in recent years as air travel rebounds post-pandemic.
Aviation experts warn that such altercations can have serious consequences, including diversion of flights and potential bans for the passengers involved. Airlines are increasingly taking a zero-tolerance approach to disruptive behaviour at 30,000 feet.
