A TikTok influencer has described being left stranded after her flight departed without her, despite having already boarded. Emily Ball, 23, said she asked to leave the plane at Harrisburg International Airport in Pennsylvania to retrieve her forgotten wallet from the terminal.
Ball claimed a flight attendant gave her permission to quickly retrieve the item. However, when she attempted to re-board through the boarding door, she was stopped by security. 'They told me to stay where I was. They said I had broken protocol by exiting and trying to come back that way, and security was called,' she said.
The situation escalated, with officials filing a report and escorting Ball away from the gate. Her belongings were removed from the aircraft. With the airport closing for the night, she was offered a replacement flight from Philadelphia, around 100 miles away, at 4am. She described the ordeal as 'exhausting and chaotic'.
Ball said she wished there had been clearer communication about what she was allowed to do. The clip sparked mixed reactions online, with some criticising the decision to open the plane door.
