A British man has gone missing in Benidorm after losing his passport and running out of money, prompting his wife to issue a plea for help. Geoff Cumiskey, from Workington in Cumbria, reportedly missed his flight home, leaving him stranded in the Spanish resort.
Family's growing concern
Geoff's family have become increasingly worried after being unable to contact him. His wife Nikki Jane reported him missing on 23 September, according to NeedToKnow. She revealed that her husband has lost his passport, has no luggage and is completely without funds. Nikki also disclosed that her partner is not currently in 'the best frame of mind'.
To make matters worse, Geoff's mobile phone battery has died, cutting off all means of contact with his loved ones. He is understood to have returned to his accommodation in search of his passport. Since then, there has been no further communication from Benidorm, prompting Nikki to report the situation to the authorities.
Appeal for information
Nikki is now urging British expats and holidaymakers in the area to come forward with any information they may have about Geoff's whereabouts. She said: "Reaching out to anyone who may be in Benidorm at the minute, or who knows someone who is there."
"My husband Geoff Cumiskey is alone in Benidorm, has lost his passport, has no luggage, and no money. He isn't in the best frame of mind, his phone has died, and we are all worried about him and can't get in touch with him.
"This has been reported to the police, who are liaising with Interpol to try and locate him. In the meantime, I am hoping that there is someone I know in Benidorm at the moment who may be able to help locate him. If you can help please get in touch."
