A British man has been reported missing in Benidorm after losing his passport and running out of money. Geoff Cumiskey, from Workington in Cumbria, reportedly missed his flight home, leaving him stranded in the Spanish resort.
Wife reports husband missing
His wife, Nikki Jane, reported him missing on 23 September. She said her husband has mislaid his passport, is without luggage and has no funds. According to Nikki, he is not currently in 'the best frame of mind'.
Geoff's mobile phone has also run out of battery, meaning his family and friends have no way of contacting him. He reportedly returned to his accommodation to search for his passport, but there has been no word from him since.
Police and Interpol involved
Nikki has alerted the police, who she says have now contacted Interpol in a bid to find her husband. She is now appealing to expats and British nationals overseas to share any details they might have regarding Geoff.
Nikki Jane said: "Reaching out to anyone who may be in Benidorm at the minute, or who knows someone who is there. My husband Geoff Cumiskey is alone in Benidorm, has lost his passport, has no luggage, and no money. He isn't in the best frame of mind, his phone has died, and we are all worried about him and can't get in touch with him. This has been reported to the police, who are liaising with Interpol to try and locate him. In the meantime, I am hoping that there is someone I know in Benidorm at the moment who may be able to help locate him. If you can help please get in touch."
