A British holidaymaker has vanished in Benidorm with a lost passport and no money, prompting his wife to launch an urgent appeal. Geoff Cumiskey, from Workington in Cumbria, is understood to have missed his return flight, leaving him stranded abroad.
Family growing worried
His family have grown increasingly worried after failing to make contact with him. The tourist was reported missing by his wife Nikki Jane on 23 September, according to NeedToKnow.
She revealed that her husband has lost his passport, possesses no luggage and is completely without funds. Nikki stated her partner is not presently in 'the best frame of mind'.
No way to reach him
Geoff's mobile phone battery has also died, meaning relatives and friends have no means of reaching him. He is believed to have gone back to where he was staying to look for his passport.
Since then, there has been complete silence from Benidorm – leading Nikki to notify the authorities. She confirmed they have now contacted Interpol in an effort to locate her husband.
Appeal for information
Nikki is now urging expats and British citizens abroad to come forward with any information they may have about Geoff. Nikki Jane said: "Reaching out to anyone who may be in Benidorm at the minute, or who knows someone who is there."
"My husband Geoff Cumiskey is alone in Benidorm, has lost his passport, has no luggage, and no money."He isn't in the best frame of mind, his phone has died, and we are all worried about him and can't get in touch with him.
"This has been reported to the police, who are liaising with Interpol to try and locate him."In the meantime, I am hoping that there is someone I know in Benidorm at the moment who may be able to help locate him."If you can help please get in touch."
