Blackpool Airshow is set to return this weekend, bringing two days of spectacular aerial displays and incredible aircraft to the Lancashire coast.
When is Blackpool Airshow 2026?
The event takes place on Saturday, August 8, and Sunday, August 9, from 10am to 5pm each day. Thousands of spectators are expected to gather to watch some of the world's top military and civilian aircraft.
Although the Red Arrows will not be performing this year, the line-up includes the impressive RAF Typhoon, known for the thunderous noise of its two Rolls Royce engines. Crowds can also admire the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight, featuring the Spitfire, Hurricane, and Dakota aircraft.
Other displays to watch
One highlight is The Red Devils display team, composed of 15 highly skilled paratroopers who will perform impressive formations and adrenaline-fueled freefall manoeuvres. Another breathtaking sight will be the aerobatics wingwalkers performing gravity-defying stunts.
Other aircraft to look out for include the iconic MiG-17, originally developed during the Cold War, and a line-up of US fighter jets including the P-47 Thunderbolt, the P-51 Mustang, and the legendary Spitfire.
Airshow Village and tickets
Visitors can also explore the Air Show Village, open from 12pm to 7pm each day. Located along the promenade and on the Tower Festival Headland, it features traders, merchandise stalls, exhibits, and food and drink vendors.
Blackpool Airshow is completely free to visit, and no tickets are required.
