A fire broke out at a popular dance club in southwestern Germany early Sunday, prompting the evacuation of 750 partygoers. Emergency services reported no injuries among the guests, though three individuals were treated for shock at the scene.
The incident occurred at the K Club Kehl, a well-known hip-hop venue located in the town of Kehl near the French border. Firefighters, police, and emergency medical services deployed at least 80 personnel to the scene, according to German news agency dpa.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation. The club's management has not yet commented on the incident.
This event comes shortly after a tragic nightclub fire in the Swiss ski resort of Crans-Montana on New Year's Eve, which resulted in multiple fatalities and was linked to sparklers used on Champagne bottles.
