
A loving couple was tragically killed on the A40 in Oxfordshire just hours after they were last seen walking hand-in-hand, in what has been described as a devastating loss.
Anthony and Deborah Key, a couple deeply devoted to one another, lost their lives in a fatal collision involving a heavy goods vehicle and their red Suzuki Swift near the Leafield junction. The incident occurred on Tuesday afternoon, sending shockwaves through the local community.
Eyewitnesses reported seeing the couple looking happy and content shortly before the tragedy unfolded. Thames Valley Police have confirmed they are thoroughly investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash that claimed both lives at the scene.
Sergeant Ed Crofts of the Serious Collision Investigation Unit expressed his condolences, stating: "This is a truly tragic incident in which two people have lost their lives. Our thoughts are with their family and friends at this extremely difficult time."
The police are urgently appealing for any witnesses to the collision or anyone who may have dash-cam footage of the vehicles prior to the incident to come forward immediately.
