A trackside fire in south London is causing disruption to train services this morning. The fire at West Norwood is affecting Southern trains operating between Victoria and London Bridge or West Croydon.
Disruption Expected Until Late Morning
National Rail has stated that the disruption is expected to last until 10:30am. Passengers are advised to allow at least 15 minutes of additional travel time for journeys to or from West Norwood.
Major Station Closures for Upgrades
This disruption comes as Waterloo and Charing Cross train stations remain closed until Sunday, August 16, due to a £20 million programme of upgrades. The closures are part of ongoing improvement works.
