A Russian frigate has fired warning shots at a yacht sailing in the English Channel, leading to an investigation by the Ministry of Defence.
Incident Details
Sailors aboard the Russian warship Admiral Grigorovich reportedly fired warning shots at a yacht that approached the vessel this morning. The incident occurred at approximately 11:40 AM and involved the frigate, according to the Press Association. The shots were reported in the sea between the Isle of Wight and Normandy.

Rising Tensions
Tensions in the waterway have escalated after Royal Marines stopped a Russian shadow fleet tanker over the weekend. Commandos seized the tanker on Sunday, suspecting the vessel of circumventing sanctions imposed on Russia.
