Emergency services are responding to a fire that broke out near Jesmond Dene House in Newcastle on Saturday morning. Tyne and Wear Fire and Rescue Service confirmed personnel were on the scene, with the ambulance service and police also in attendance.
Ambulance Service Response
A spokesperson for North East Ambulance Service said the service was called shortly before 8am to reports of a fire. A double-crewed ambulance attended alongside two Hazardous Area Response Teams (HARTs) to support the fire service. It was reported that the fire was in the grounds of Jesmond Dene House. The ambulance service has since stood down some resources, but a HART team and duty officer remain on site.
Fire Service Confirmation
Tyne and Wear Fire Service officials confirmed earlier that crews were in attendance at an incident on Jesmond Dene Road. A spokesperson stated: "We do currently have an incident in the area and crews are in attendance in Jesmond Dene Road." No further information was immediately available.
