Emergency services were called to a busy South Wales holiday park after a fire broke out in a commercial tumble dryer at a housekeeping building on Sunday night.
South Wales Fire and Rescue Service received a call at approximately 9.51pm reporting a fire at Parkdean Holidays' Trecco Bay Holiday Park in Porthcawl.
Crews attend the scene
Crews and appliances from Bridgend and Porthcawl attended the incident, with firefighters using hose reel jets, a safety jet, breathing apparatus and positive pressure ventilation to extinguish the blaze.
A STOP message was received at around 10.45pm, indicating that the incident had been brought under control.
Park remains operational
A spokesperson for Trecco Bay Holiday Park said the safety of guests and staff remained the park's "number one priority".
They said: "The safety of our guests and team is our number one priority. At approximately 10pm last night, there was a small fire within a housekeeping building. The fire was quickly brought under control and contained. Everyone remained safe and there was no significant disruption to guests, with the park remaining operational throughout."
