The Bahrain Grand Prix, relocated to Sepang in Malaysia, will be broadcast free of charge by Apple TV, eliminating the need for a paid subscription for every live Formula One session this weekend.
The event was hastily inserted between the Azerbaijan and Singapore races, forming a demanding triple-header across challenging locations and climates. Because the race was not originally scheduled for this weekend, the broadcaster chose to make all sessions—from the three free practice runs to Sunday's Grand Prix—available at no cost.
Similar move at Austrian GP
Apple TV employed the same approach earlier this year at the Austrian Grand Prix, allowing millions of fans to watch without a subscription as George Russell held off Max Verstappen and Kimi Antonelli to win at the Red Bull Ring.
The offer, however, is limited to fans in the United States, as Apple is the official F1 broadcaster there. UK viewers will still require a valid Sky Sports or Now subscription to watch the live action from Sepang.
Apple's full coverage features
Eligible viewers will receive Apple's complete coverage package, including 4K resolution, 5.1 surround sound, a Multiview function, and a dedicated data channel for those wanting to track race statistics alongside the live feed.
