Liverpool make record bid for Mexico wonderkid Mora

Liverpool have reportedly made a record-breaking bid for Mexico wonderkid Gilberto Mora, with the 17-year-old also attracting interest from Arsenal, Barcelona and Real Madrid. The offer, reported by TUDN, is said to be worth 'in excess of £38million', which would make him Liga MX's biggest export of all time.

Mora bid details

The attacking midfielder, who can also play on the left wing, became the youngest player to represent Mexico at a World Cup when he featured for El Tri this summer. He is set to turn 18 next week, with interest in his signature escalating.

Mora scored in a 1-1 friendly draw against Colombia last month but was held back from Mexico's other friendlies in the international break. TUDN's report suggested national team boss Rafael Marquez made that decision with transfer interest in mind, and it is purported that development "is an indication the deal is progressing," with a potential January move in mind.

Reds battle Palace for Ndour

Another potential signing who has his admirers at Anfield is Fiorentina midfielder Cher Ndour. However, the Reds will need to fend off interest from Juventus and Crystal Palace if they're to land the Italy international.

La Repubblica reported Ndour was the only player at the Stadio Artemio Franchi deemed 'unsellable' in the summer. That position may be tested if the Reds get serious in their pursuit, though, with an offer in the region of £30m believed to be enough to secure his services.

The former Paris Saint-Germain and Benfica playmaker has risen to become a key staple in Florence and is still just 22. After being linked with a number of midfielders over the summer, Liverpool may have need of reinforcements in the middle of the park next year.

Midfield reshuffle on the cards

Veteran midfielder Wataru Endo is set to leave Merseyside when his contract expires at the end of this season. There will also be question marks regarding the future of Alexis Mac Allister, who will soon enter the final 18 months of his deal and was touted for a departure this year.

It's worth highlighting PSG retain a 50 per cent sell-on clause in Ndour's contract after he joined Fiorentina for around £3.5m last year. That should equate to a healthy profit for Les Parisiens should he move on next year, with Liverpool standing to benefit.
