Sonic Racing Crossworlds Pac-Man Pack Release Details

Fans of the acclaimed racer Sonic Racing Crossworlds have a new reason to hit the track, as a fresh batch of downloadable content featuring a gaming icon is about to arrive.

Pac-Man Pack Release Date and Festival Schedule

The highly anticipated Pac-Man Pack is set to launch for Sonic Racing Crossworlds on January 7, 2026. This new DLC will be available across all platforms, including PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, Switch 2, and PC.

Following the pack's release, an in-game Pac-Man Festival will begin. This limited-time event is open to all players, even those who do not purchase the DLC. According to an official SEGA announcement, the Festival starts on Thursday, January 8 at 7:00 PM Eastern Time (ET).

For players in the United Kingdom, the event kicks off at midnight GMT on Friday, January 9. The Festival will then run until 11:59 PM GMT on Sunday, January 11, giving gamers a full weekend to participate.

What's Included in the New DLC?

This marks the third major expansion for the game, which has been praised as a standout in the kart racing genre. The Pac-Man Pack introduces several exciting pieces of content:

  • New Racers: Pac-Man himself and the Team Ghost characters become playable.
  • New Vehicle: The Pac-Man Mobile kart.
  • New Track: The highlight is the brand-new Pac-Village and Maze circuit.
  • Cosmetics: Each character receives six new emotes, alongside additional sound effects.

How to Unlock the Pac-Man Content

Accessing this new content will require an additional purchase. There are a couple of ways for UK players to get the Pac-Man Pack:

The most cost-effective method for existing owners is via the Season Pass, priced at £24.99. This pass grants access to all post-launch DLC. Alternatively, the pack will be sold as a standalone purchase for £4.99 after its release.

For those yet to buy the game, the Digital Deluxe Edition, costing £79.99, includes the base game, the Season Pass, and the Sonic Prime Character Pack, offering the complete experience.

This continued support from Sonic Team reinforces Sonic Racing Crossworlds' position as a major contender in the competitive kart racing scene, following previous DLC drops like the Minecraft and SpongeBob SquarePants packs.
