Trainers across the UK, mark your calendars! September's Pokémon GO Community Day is set to electrify your weekend with the debut of the Larva Pokémon, Grubbin, taking centre stage.
The event will run on Sunday, 15th September 2024, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM local time, giving you a full three hours to hunt, catch, and evolve. This is your prime opportunity to add a powerful new Pokémon to your roster.
Featured Pokémon: Grubbin
For this event, Grubbin will be appearing wildly more frequently in the wild. This is the perfect chance to stock up on Candy and hunt for that elusive perfect IV specimen. The excitement doesn't stop there—if you're lucky, you might even encounter a Shiny Grubbin!
Exclusive Move For Evolving
The main incentive for any Community Day is the exclusive move available upon evolution. If you evolve Charjabug (Grubbin's evolution) into Vikavolt during the event or up to five hours afterward (until 10:00 PM local time), it will learn the Charged Attack Volt Switch.
This Electric-type Fast Attack is a fantastic addition to Vikavolt's movepool, making it a more formidable contender in both Trainer Battles and Raids.
Stack Those Bonuses
As always, Community Day comes packed with fantastic bonuses to enhance your experience:
- 3× Stardust for catching Pokémon.
- 2× Candy for catching Pokémon.
- 2× chance to receive Grubbin Candy XL from catching Pokémon (Trainers level 31 and above).
- Lure Modules activated during the event will last for three hours.
- Incense activated during the event will last for three hours.
- Take a few snapshots during Community Day for a special surprise!
- One additional Special Trade can be made during the event and up to five hours after.
- Trades made during the event and up to five hours after will require 50% less Stardust.
Community Day Special Research
For a small fee, trainers can access the Grubbin Community Day-exclusive Special Research story, 'Charge Up'. This offers additional tasks and rewards focused on your catching journey.
