In an exclusive interview with the Mirror, Gameloft's Lead Producer, Roman Gomonov, has pulled back the curtain on the highly anticipated arrival of Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight Rises characters in LEGO Legacy: Heroes Unboxed.
The latest game update welcomes a wave of new heroes and villains from the iconic film trilogy, challenging players to build their ultimate Gotham squad. Gomonov revealed the unique challenge the development team faced: translating the Nolanverse's gritty, realistic aesthetic into the charming, blocky world of LEGO.
Building A More Realistic Gotham
"The main challenge was that the Dark Knight movie trilogy is known for its realistic, non-comic-book style," Gomonov explained. The team's mission was to faithfully recreate the trilogy's distinct atmosphere while ensuring the new minifigures felt perfectly at home alongside the more traditional, colourful LEGO characters.
The result is a stunning collection of minifigures that capture the essence of the films. Players can now recruit and battle with authentic representations of Christian Bale's Batman, Tom Hardy's menacing Bane, and Anne Hathaway's sleek Selina Kyle, among others.
