Samsung has unveiled the Galaxy S26 FE (Fan Edition), a new device that brings big features at a lower price. The phone goes on sale next month and costs £80 less than the standard S26, which launched earlier this year.
Premium features at a lower price
The Galaxy S26 FE includes a bright 6.7-inch 120Hz display, a speedy Exynos processor, long battery life, and fast charging. It also has a triple-lens camera system with improved night shots and Super Steady Video technology that locks onto the horizon to reduce wobble.
AI features help answer questions, keep track of the day, and instantly retouch photos. The My FanCam upgrade, first introduced on the latest Galaxy foldables, automatically tracks a selected person and keeps them centred, intelligently reframing video as the scene moves.
Colours and pricing
The phone arrives in three colours – Blueberry, Pistachio and Graphite – with prices starting from £699.

Is it worth buying?
Initial impressions suggest the screen is good, the cameras will snap nice images, and it is brimming with AI upgrades, plus useful extras such as fast charging and full support for 7 years. However, the price closely matches the standard Galaxy S26, with only an £80 difference. If it were £200 less, or even £100 lower, it would be a no-brainer, but the current gap makes the FE harder to recommend over its flagship sibling.
More time is needed before a definitive verdict, but right now the S26 FE is not the phone to buy. With £700 in hand, saving another £79 to get the S26 would be the better option.
