Meta Quest 3S Hits Record Low Price in Amazon Prime Day Sale

Amazon has reduced the Meta Quest 3S 128GB to a record low price of £237.99 as part of its Prime Day sale, a £51.01 discount from its usual £289.99. According to price tracker camelcamelcamel, this is the cheapest price ever offered for the headset, undercutting the previous low of £249.99.

The deal makes Amazon the most affordable retailer for the device, compared to Argos (£289.99), Very (£249.99) and Meta (£289.99). Amazon has also discounted the exclusive Meta Quest 3S Gorilla Tag Cardboard Hero Bundle from £289.99 to £249.99, which includes a three-month trial of Meta Horizon+ offering two free games per month.

The Meta Quest 3S is a budget-friendly version of the Meta Quest 3 (£459), featuring a resolution of 1832x1920 pixels per eye and 128GB of storage, compared to 4K resolution and 512GB on the standard model. However, it shares the same Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and white shell as its pricier counterpart.

Key features include rich 3D audio with enhanced clarity and bass, and a 40% louder volume range than the previous model. Amazon reviews give the 3S a 4.4-star average rating, just behind the Quest 3's 4.5 stars. One buyer noted: 'Definitely worth getting for new VR users... the 3S comes with a glasses spacer which is easy enough to install.'

Another reviewer praised the headset's performance but noted that the head strap 'isn't the most comfortable' and battery life is around two and a half hours of continuous gaming. They recommended the BoboVR M3 Pro head strap with a detachable magnetic battery for extended use.
