Xbox's service status page shows a major outage across four key services: Account and Profile, Store and Subscriptions, Games and Gaming, and Apps and Mobile. Social media reports suggest some users are unable to sign in to their consoles to access their devices and gaming libraries.
Xbox Support updates
Xbox has been keeping users informed via its Xbox Support account on X. In a series of posts, they said: "We are aware that some users are encountering errors when attempting to sign in, see your game library, or launch games. Our engineers are actively working to mitigate the issue." Another post added: "Just checking in on the game library, sign-in, and game launch issue. We know this has been going on a while and appreciate your patience while our teams keep working on it."
User reports
Reports on Downdetector show 51% of reported issues are related to game launch, 20% for game play, and 16% for server connection. One user wrote on X: "I can't access anything, xbox servers are down." Another wrote: "Can’t play my Xbox and no eta on when it will be back up." The Xbox mobile app, which allows users to play games from their phone, is also currently down.
